Is Repairing a Small Windsheild Chip a ‘Big Deal?”?

I have a small chip. The car is older with some obvious sand pocks, I **** to spend big bucks to replace the whole thing if a chip repair kit and some elbow grease would permanently fix it. Easy to do???…and will a repair kit do a decent job??

Maybe this is the wrong place but I am in need of auto glass replacement . I’ve been looking and found Arthur’s Expert Auto Glass 802 N 8th ST Sheboygan WI 53081 (920)569-0839. Any opinions on this place? They are pretty close to me. I need a quality job done for my glass job.
