I don't live in Tucson but in FL as I'm sure in AZ i have used Safelite AutoGlass and have had very good experiences in the two times I used them. I used them through insurance and had very positive experiences. If your going through insurance they usually provide you with a list. But this is from my experience and I hope you find what you are looking for.

Sure there is ! One- U can go 2 the nearest "junk yard" n find the same motor 4 ur car n pay very low 4 it.
Two- expect 2 pay up 2 $100 4 an inspection.
Three- Try 2 lower ALL the windows before going 2 the inspection garage.
Four- Change the motor from the passenger side 2 the driver's side (if u r JUST looking 2 pass the inspection)

do it yourself.. or ask at the Auto Zone if one of those guys knows how.. they might charge a little but not usually much and most of the time someone there knows a lot about cars.

it should have failed because it is the driver side window and that could cause a safety consern.. say hes driving and it starts POURING rain and he cant roll up the window.. more than likely cant see with water splashing all in his face.

if you get it fixed timely you shouldnt have to pay for the inspection again.. just go back to the same place.

no, but insurance companies look at claims over a 3 year period so I would not advise you to put it in if you have already submitted claims. If you have not then go ahead you will be fine..

Well, if you decide to just duct tape a piece of flat glass in be sure you use some safety glass (maybe $30 at an automotive glass shop). If you use household glass you'll end up with your head sliced completely off if a stone hits the glass and sends razor sharp shards hurling inwards.

Come to think of it, having your head cut off may be preferable to owning a Peugeot....

Sorry man but you just answered your own question: " It is fully covered under my Comprehensive coverage, no deductible ". Its part of your premium, why would it go up? Another word, you've previously paid your glass as part of your monthly payment wether you used for glass or else, why would your premium increase, if it is, then must be some other claims such as medical or you had an accident and you were at fault and used your insurance to pay for other driver, its definitely go up..way up.

i take it your not in NY ?
here in NY that is not part of a standard inspection and could not fail for that

he can try calling auto junk yards ....here we have a bunch of them and can get parts a lot cheaper then anywhere else , you probably have them near you too , then take the part to a mechanic and have it replaced or do it yourselves
