Melanie H asked: I’m looking for a reliable Tucson auto glass shop in Arizona. I’ve had some really bad experiences with other windshield repair and replacement shops in Tucson and I’m just wondering if anyone has had better luck than me.

Peepoop Patel asked: Please again to ask how to correct problem with my terrible auto. Last night drunken neighbor repaired my brakes with circular clamp and copper. It still leaks much of the brake oil but stops correctly now. Was driving to work place this morning and bonnet lifted up and crashed into windscreen with such terrific force it shattered. I managed to come to halt and using my pants belt tied bonnet in place. Windscreen was shattered so bad I could not see so was forced to drive to and from work today holding head out side window. Local auto glass repair facility say a replacement window will cost $580 US! What to do? This miserable auto cannot be worth that much but I must drive to my work. Would it be possible to remove crushed window and perhaps glue a section of glass in place from local home repair store?

john12 asked: My friend’s Toyota corolla ‘02 failed in inspection. At the inspection center inspector asked him to roll down the glass. Now this (driver side windows glass) was having problem since last one year. The window glass will not roll down completely or when you want to bring up it stuck in between and after several trial pressing switch it will come up after half an hour.
The motor vehicle inspector checked all other things there was no problem except this windows glass which he saw that not working. Finally he disqualified car saying ‘ safety issue ‘. My friend called Toyota dealership and describe problem to fix it and they say it is the sealed motor must have gone bad and replacing that part and labour will cost appx – $ 450.
He also checked with other auto repair shop and they also gave similar estimate of $ 410. The question is – Is there any better solution which is cheaper in cost to fix it.
Thanks for your answers but none of them meets my requirement. I am not that knowleadgable to fix it my self or buy from junk yard. Also replacing from other windows of passengers is out of question since it would not fit the direction of winding and unwinding and I checked with auto mechanics.

Paige B asked: I broke the glass top that sits on a desk my boyfriend just bought. I think it’s tempered, and the dimensions are 40″ x 24″, rectangular shape. All of the quotes I’ve been able to find online are five times more than the desk itself cost.
Would an auto repair windshield shop be able to cut the glass for me?

needmysheetfixed asked: my winshield seal is loose on the corners and is flapping around in the wind…..does anyone know about how much this will cost? i plan on taking it down to the auto glass repair place but its closed because its sunday night and i plan on doing it tomorrow just i want to know about how much this is gonna cost….thanks in advance
