50-50 solution of vinegar and water.
Still have a problem, check with your auto supply store for recommendations.
mix 1 cup vinegar and 1 cup water, put it in a spray bottle and spray on the windows, allow it to set for a minute or two, and use the scrubby side of a squeegee to scrub the scale off.
Brand new sos or brillo pad, with plenty of lather.
Vinegar & Water it the answer for sure, UNLESS you are also trying to get the etching off.
If the solution doesn’t satisfy you, go the parts house and purchase some “MOTHER’S” aluminum polish or POLISHING compound.
Do not use RUBBING compound. The rubbing compound is dark, looks like terra cotta, and is coarse enough to damage your glass.
If you use either Mother’s or polishing compound, and use circular RANDOM motion without excess pressure, you can bring the glass to near new condition.
sos pad is the way to go!!!!!!!!!!! but do not push down to hard, start off softly then rinse and repeat if necessary….
